Daniel Bostic
Daniel Bostic is no stranger to the pageantry arts or how big celebrations tend to be in the City of Brotherly Love! A Philadelphia native, Dan began playing the piano at the age of 6. He also learned to play the trumpet, trombone, and baritone - and was the drum major of his high school marching band!
Dan studied piano at Michigan State University, with a minor in brass. He first experienced drum corps at the West Chester University George Parks Drum Major Academy in 1984. From there, he got involved in winter guard out in the Midwest during his time at Michigan State. In 1986, he began his WGI and DCI marching experiences with Studio One Winter Guard and The Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps. Dan was first a baritone player (1986) and then a member of the color guard during his second season with the Crossmen (1987). He was also a member of the color guard with the 1988 Santa Clara Vanguard. Daniel's DCA experience as a performer was with Sunrisers & The Bushwackers. He was later involved with Bush as the Guard Caption Head, as well as Fusion Core in the same capacity. At the age of 35, Daniel fulfilled a bucket list item of performing at the Independent World Class level of WGI, with the Black Watch from Mount Laurel, NJ! In addition to his experience as a performer, Daniel has also been a talented designer, choreographer, and technician for several area high school and independent winter guards, including almost two decades with The Light Brigade Color Guard.
