Saturday, July 4th, 2026, the United States Semiquincentennial (also called Sestercentennial or Quarter Millennial) will be the 250th anniversary of the 1776 United States Declaration of Independence (formally "The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen United States of America"). Festivities will be scheduled in Philadelphia to mark various events leading up to the anniversary on July 4, 2026. We aim to have the drum and bugle corps activity showcased for this historic celebration since drum and bugle corps have played an integral role throughout our nation's history. What better way to celebrate our nation's birthday than to be in Philadelphia for the Welcome America festivities?
We would like to have as many former drum corps members participating as possible. This proves to be a once-in-a-lifetime event. All eyes will be on Philadelphia for the Sestercentennial. Major League Baseball has already committed to having Philadelphia host the 2026 All-Star Game!
Our objective is to march in the parade on July 3rd, 2026, as well as participate in other performances. It will truly be an honor to represent the drum corps you marched with as a tribute to our great country. The Great American Drum and Bugle Corps operates as a 501(c)(3).
