To our followers, let me introduce myself! I’m Chris, and as of today (10/5/2024), I am the brass instructor for THE GREAT AMERICAN DRUM CORPS! I’ll also be writing a couple of the charts, but we have some music from names you’ll recognize more than mine as well! I’m hitting the ground running today, getting the word out!

What is this?: the largest drum corps ever assembled. Why would you do that?: to represent our great activity in celebration of the 250th birthday of the United States of America.

Who am I?: I don’t particularly like talking about myself, but I spent 19 years in DCA, and I’ve been in the marching arts non-stop since 1991. I like to allow talent to shine by providing structure and feedback…but the performers always make it their own.

What are we looking at?: the better part of a week living the drum corps dream in and around Philadelphia. Final details are being nailed down, but we are slated to perform an exhibition at one site, rehearse, the parade itself on July 3rd (thanks Philly) and a couple of concerts. It’s going to be loud, and I want it to be good! We need more brass, battery percussion, and color guard than you’ve ever dreamed of having in the same place. Imagine DCI’s top 8 as one corps. Yeah. That.

This is open to any and ALL drum corps vets from any era…and you have to be over 18.

This doesn’t happen until the end of June 2026, but please get on the roster now. Even if you don’t know where you’re going to get a horn from, just register and take over a year to work out the details. Register and pay the fee here, which will put you on the list for info, exercises/warm-ups, and the great music we have coming.
